Int’l Day for Tolerance being observed today

International Day for Tolerance

International Day for Tolerance is being observed on Tuesday with an aim to fostering mutual understanding among cultures and peoples.

This day, every year, reminds us to think about the challenges posed by our differences and to look for ways to respect and live with one another’s diversity.

The International Day for Tolerance is an annual observance day declared by UNESCO in 1995 to generate public awareness of the dangers of intolerance. It is observed on 16 November. Every year various conferences and festivals are organized in the occasion of International Day for Tolerance.
